The Holland District Foundation, Inc. provides financial assistance to qualified individuals and groups for educational, charitable, and benevolent activities.
The purpose of the Foundation is to provide regional support to augment what is done by local clubs, including a college scholarship to a teen Ruritan member,
giving to regional social service charities – one designated by each Zone in the District, support of the District Convention , support for National Foundation “69 Account” and other awards and grants.
The Holland District Foundation was chartered in 2016, organized its first Board and actions in 2017, and organized the first annual fund-raising Golf Tournament in 2018 at the Suffolk course. The annual Golf event is held on the Friday of Founders weekend, an annual gathering in Holland Virginia of Ruritans from all over the country. The Golf event was rescheduled in 2020 to September 18, hoping that we can all get out in the open air by then for fellowship and recreation.
The Holland District Foundation, Inc. and all its programs are non-profit, and non-private. All donations to the Foundation are tax deductible to the donor under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Copies of the original determination letters are available upon request.
