45 BackPacks Stuffed
45 BackPacks Stuffed
On Aug 29, the Carrollton Ruritan Club, Carrollton VA, prepared and delivered 45 backpacks stuffed with essential back-to-school items for under-privileged kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade students.  This is the second year the Carrollton Ruritan Club has taken on this task, and we were able to nearly double the amount of backpacks this year, up from 25 last year.  Funds were raised from our first annual Carrollton Community Day vendor/yard sale event, and the club plans to use remaining funds to directly help the Carrollton Elementary School in other ways.
