Charles Franklin Jordan, 84, died July 22, 2014 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was the son of the late Marie S. and Charles D. Jordan. He was predeceased by his wives Anne J. Jordan and Barbara Whitehurst.

Frank had a great love for life and was a devoted family man. He was a lifelong farmer, loved to travel and loved all kinds of sports. He was a dedicated VT alumnus and a member of the Old Guard. Frank was active in many civic and agricultural organizations.

Survivors include his wife Jean Jordan, daughter, Suzanne J. Langston and husband J. Darden Langston, Jr. of Suffolk; son, C. F. Jordan and wife Linnie of Suffolk, VA; five grandchildren, Laura J. Griffies and husband Cole, Nancy Cate Jordan, Lee Tyler Langston and wife Jenni, Breanne Joyner Langston and Jenna Elizabeth Langston; brother Richie Jordan; five great grandchildren and a large extended family.

A memorial service was held Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11 AM at Oakland Christian UCC Church, 5641 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk, VA by the Rev. Gregory Ryan with a private burial at the church cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, July 27, 2014, from 6 to 8 PM in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 West Washington Street, Suffolk, VA 23434 and other times at the home of C.F. Jordan.

Memorial donations were made to the Oakland Christian UCC Church, PO Box 2008, Suffolk VA 23432.
